High Touch, High Tech - Rock Study

Jurassic Judy came to our class to help us learn about rocks.  We got to dig and wash different types of rocks.  Then we brought our rocks back to class to sort them.  We talked about how scientist look at the color, hardness, and luster of rocks.  Jurassic Judy taught us that diamonds are the hardest rocks. She also taught us that some rocks are magnetic. We continued to investigate rocks all week! It was so much fun!
