This week we read and compared several versions of the gingerbread man. We also did a science experiment to figure out why that gingerbread man didn't want to cross the river. We observed as he dissolved in a glass of water. We also followed a recipe to mix and bake our own gingerbread man. We took turns decorating him (actually it turned into a her.) When we came back from specials she had made a big mess! Somehow she busted through the ceiling tile and escaped! We ran all over the school looking for her. We discovered her in the library with some friends reading books. After all of the gingerbread drama we did get to eat her and she sure was yummy!!!!
