Plant Parts

Today we read books about the different parts of a plant and what their jobs are to help the plant live and grow. Then we painted the parts of a sunflower plant. Tomorrow we will label the parts when they are dry.

We painted the roots.

 We painted the seeds with our thumb.

We painted the stem and leaves.

We painted the petals. 

Then our scientists went out in the garden to look for all of the parts on real plants. They had so much fun using their hand lenses to explore in the garden!
