Math Stations

We have 5 math stations we rotate through each week. Each station has 'hands on' learning for students to participate it.

At MATH LITERACY center we always have a math book that our teacher has read to us. There is always a math activity to do with the book.

At GAME CENTER we have a new game to play each week using a math concept. After our new game, we may choose an old game to play.

At TUB CENTER we use manipulatives to show math thinking. We have a different activity each week. After we complete our new activity we are able to choose anything from our spiral tubs bucket. This has all of our old activities in it.

At computers we play a web based math game each week. One of our favorite websites is http://illuminations.nctm.org/

Each week we go to TEACHER TABLE. We will participate in small group activities as well as weekly problem solving with our teacher.  During assessment time or when our teacher time is over we are allowed to play math games on our classroom touch pad or Ipad.
